What Separates Business Leaders Who Get Results From Business Followers Who Get Squashed
During my years in the network marketing direct sales industry, I have observed gossip coached business owners from both ends of the spectrum in my current business opportunity and many different business opportunities. Each of them have the desire to work from home so they can make the money celebrity will allow them to live the life they desire. However, there is one very distinct difference between the two types.
More specifically, I have observed the person who “wants” to work from home and the person who “truly desires” to work from home.
The first type of person starts a business, works the business, and hopes the business provides the success they expect to acheive. Notice I said HOPE. This type of person learns a few basic skills and success principles and continues them day in / day out without enhancing their skills to become a successful entrepreneur. They are hoping to make money, hoping to have business success, hoping that someday they will have their “name of fame” so they can get out of their job and become a person of value. Become a leader that others are willing to follow. They keep a positive mind and expect results to flow into their life.
On the other side of the coin, there are business owners who are “dedicated” to their success so they can assist others in achieving success. They are creative in all aspects of their business. When one aspect is not understood, or not working as expected, they dive in deep and take personal responsibility for their results. They seek self-study or the leadership of someone who can assist them with some advice on how to enhance the situation. It is this type of person who I have observed to have profound levels of success. They are committed to running a successful business, committed to others, committed to getting the results they expect, committed to making the money that top business leaders experience. It is this commitment and personal responsibility that leads a person into their own leadership. The type of leadership that others want, and are willing to follow.
The later individual understands the philosophy of taking action and helping enough other people get what they want, in effort to get the results that he or she seeks. It is this subtle difference that actually makes ALL the difference when it comes to being a great leader and having phenomenal levels of success vs. being the person who is hoping to be a great leader someday while having very limited success. Once this breakthrough occurs, the confidence is developed and the leadership traits take over. Suddenly, people start clamoring to work with the person who struggled for quite sometime. Awhile, this same person starts asking themselves.. “Where has all the money been in my life.” It’s almost as if a cash-flow hurricane was attracted into their business opportunity.
Now if one wishes to become a great leader in their business opportunity that others are surely to follow, all they have to do is take personal responsibility for their short-comings. This can be done by finding someone who has the results they desire, do as they do, absorb their knowledge, and implement what they have learned in their own business. In some cases, it may even require them to seek this guidance from someone outside of their business opportunity to avoid the “competition mentality.”
Some of the biggest complaints that I here from people in most business opportunities are the following;
- I can’t generate enough leads.
- I can’t market on the internet.
- I can’t write press releases.
- I can’t write articles.
- I can’t get someone to the business call.
- I can’t get people to call me back.
- I can’t do this, I can’t do that.
Now which kind of person do you think this is. Will they become a person of value, and by virtue of that, become a person of success, or will they never learn the things they say “can’t be done.”
What this person should be saying is…
“How can I generate more leads?”
“How can I learn how to market on the internet?”
“How can I learn how to write press releases?”
“How can I learn how to write articles?”
“What can I do better?”
By asking these types of questions, the answers will begin to fill their thoughts, and inspired action will take place. They will then learn the skills that will override any stumbling blocks, and as a result, become a person of value. Thus, becoming a person of success! The word “can’t” will no longer exist within their vocabulary, and they will become the leader that guides others to profound levels of success.
Success is all about taking control of our results through personal responsibility, and stepping into our own leadership role.
To your success!
