What Separates Business Leaders Who Get Results From Business Followers Who Get Squashed

During my years in the network marketing direct sales industry, I have observed gossip coached business owners from both ends of the spectrum in my current business opportunity and many different business opportunities. Each of them have the desire to work from home so they can make the money celebrity will allow them to live the life they desire. However, there is one very distinct difference between the two types.

More specifically, I have observed the person who “wants” to work from home and the person who “truly desires” to work from home.

The first type of person starts a business, works the business, and hopes the business provides the success they expect to acheive. Notice I said HOPE. This type of person learns a few basic skills and success principles and continues them day in / day out without enhancing their skills to become a successful entrepreneur. They are hoping to make money, hoping to have business success, hoping that someday they will have their “name of fame” so they can get out of their job and become a person of value. Become a leader that others are willing to follow. They keep a positive mind and expect results to flow into their life.

On the other side of the coin, there are business owners who are “dedicated” to their success so they can assist others in achieving success. They are creative in all aspects of their business. When one aspect is not understood, or not working as expected, they dive in deep and take personal responsibility for their results. They seek self-study or the leadership of someone who can assist them with some advice on how to enhance the situation. It is this type of person who I have observed to have profound levels of success. They are committed to running a successful business, committed to others, committed to getting the results they expect, committed to making the money that top business leaders experience. It is this commitment and personal responsibility that leads a person into their own leadership. The type of leadership that others want, and are willing to follow.

The later individual understands the philosophy of taking action and helping enough other people get what they want, in effort to get the results that he or she seeks. It is this subtle difference that actually makes ALL the difference when it comes to being a great leader and having phenomenal levels of success vs. being the person who is hoping to be a great leader someday while having very limited success. Once this breakthrough occurs, the confidence is developed and the leadership traits take over. Suddenly, people start clamoring to work with the person who struggled for quite sometime. Awhile, this same person starts asking themselves.. “Where has all the money been in my life.” It’s almost as if a cash-flow hurricane was attracted into their business opportunity.

Now if one wishes to become a great leader in their business opportunity that others are surely to follow, all they have to do is take personal responsibility for their short-comings. This can be done by finding someone who has the results they desire, do as they do, absorb their knowledge, and implement what they have learned in their own business. In some cases, it may even require them to seek this guidance from someone outside of their business opportunity to avoid the “competition mentality.”

Some of the biggest complaints that I here from people in most business opportunities are the following;

- I can’t generate enough leads.

- I can’t market on the internet.

- I can’t write press releases.

- I can’t write articles.

- I can’t get someone to the business call.

- I can’t get people to call me back.

- I can’t do this, I can’t do that.

Now which kind of person do you think this is. Will they become a person of value, and by virtue of that, become a person of success, or will they never learn the things they say “can’t be done.”

What this person should be saying is…

“How can I generate more leads?”

“How can I learn how to market on the internet?”

“How can I learn how to write press releases?”

“How can I learn how to write articles?”

“What can I do better?”

By asking these types of questions, the answers will begin to fill their thoughts, and inspired action will take place. They will then learn the skills that will override any stumbling blocks, and as a result, become a person of value. Thus, becoming a person of success! The word “can’t” will no longer exist within their vocabulary, and they will become the leader that guides others to profound levels of success.

Success is all about taking control of our results through personal responsibility, and stepping into our own leadership role.

To your success!

2008 Election – Change For All?

Will we see the first African American President elected? As a minority, gay and female, I would like to think we will. Yes, I was hopeful that this election would produce the first female president of the United States of America and yes I am disappointed yet hopeful all the same. You see, if the 2008 election is truly the election of change will that change also give hope to the many gay Americans that they too can experience change? Change in that we can begin to experience the full American Dream, the one that allows us to insure our same-sex partner, provides survivors rights in the event of death, access to retirement funds, the list goes on.

I am finding it extremely difficult to continue to pay taxes and participate in the American Dream fallacy , as promised by my fore fathers, and do so without making my voice heard. Each and every gay American needs to find their voice and continue the movement to assure that our voice does not get lost and when better to do that than in an election year that is based around change? Look to the Human Rights Campaign as well as your local organizations to get involved. Involvement can be as simple as volunteering at a fund raiser the important message here is that you must get involved. No movement, in the history of movements, ever made an impact unless people made a choice to get involved and make a difference. Now is your chance to make a difference, to change the minds of Americans that we can all truly experience the Freedoms together as one Nation.

The Chic Styling of Laptop Cases

How does one keep up to date with the latest fashion trends in technology, whether as a student or as a professional? To protect a laptop, a laptop carrying case is handy and essential. Laptop bags now can match the personality of the laptop owner.

While the briefcase style bags are still most popular among people who want to buy laptop bags, there are three notable developments in the laptop bag fashion department that provides owners with enough flexibility to reflect their personalities and lifestyles:

• Portable laptop sleeves or messenger bags perfect for students or individuals who are always on the move
• Bags that also have matching separate laptop sleeves
• Branded laptop bags that double as an equally stylish evening bag

Those students or young professionals in cities who are always on the run have latched themselves on to the trend of portable laptop sleeves that provide users an option of attaching a set of detachable straps provided. These have lightly-padded messenger bags that offer protection without the bulk. Laptop owners can choose to use a separate sleeve on the laptop to provide additional protection. These light laptop bags can also be used as regular everyday bags. Laptop sleeves, originally used on the laptop even when it is placed inside the laptop bag, now come with detachable straps. This allows the owner to flexibly choose to either put the laptop in the laptop sleeve inside the laptop bag, or attach a strap so as to carry the laptop sleeve as a shoulder bag on its own.

Laptop bags that also include matching, separate laptop sleeves have grown more popular today. These laptop bags are often lightly insulated. The removable sleeve that comes with it is also lightly padded to increase protection. Putting the laptop inside the sleeve is enough to have an easy time carrying the laptop as you go from one destination to another without the need for the bulky laptop bag. Moreover, the laptop bag can house the laptop even if it is not encased in the laptop sleeve.

There are alternatives to the laptop briefcase, such as fashionable totes and other bag styles that can provide laptop protection without looking bulky. These laptop totes use stylish designs and materials much like those used in other designer bags. Fine stitching, leather, and even clasps are used, such that these bags double as laptop bags and as fashionable handbags. Messenger and Baby bags from a variety of makers are perfect for this as these are naturally deep and long to suit their original function which lends itself to being a perfect tote for a laptop.

The one advantage you have in finding a bag that works well with you is that the designers probably carry laptops themselves while out and about and have based their designs within the constraints of what is functional.

Tom suggests Juicy Couture laptop cases for their great combination of style and functionality and Hello Kitty laptop skins for a laptop protector that stands out from the rest.

Lightweight Hiking – An Example In A Story

Four feet of snow at 13,000 feet, and I was in my running shoes. I had just 11 pounds on my back for an overnight hike. Some people think lightweight hiking and backpacking is only for warmer weather. You do have lingerie abecita be more careful in colder weather, but I wasn’t crazy. I had just been going lightweight for too long to want to go back to a heavy pack and hiking boots.

Hiking To Crestone Peak

It was September 2006, and I was in the Sangre De Christo Mountains in Colorado. I was hiking up the trail to South Colony Lakes when I surprised a lingerie by brand buck, who snorted and ran off. The patches of snow were getting larger as I went higher, and I poked at the frozen puddles with my walking stick.

I was hoping to climb Crestone Peak and Crestone Needle. Earlier in the month I was rained out, and then lingerie by brand snowed heavily in the high country on September 18. I watched the online forums to see if anyone was still climbing these “fourteeners” (mountains higher than 14,000 feet) in the Sangres. One person did mention climbing up Crestone through the snow. I didn’t want to do that.

By the 28th there had been several warm days, so maybe the snow melted, I thought. There wasn’t any snow where I parked the car, but by the time I hiked to South Colony Lakes a few hours later, it was almost knee-deep. Above the lakes and beyond the last of the trees, the snow was even deeper.

The sun kept me warm, despite the fact that my shoes and socks were soaked. I only continued because it looked like there was bare rock further up. Then my goal was just getting to Broken-Hand Pass, where I could look down into the San Luis Valley on the other side. Soon I was 100 yards away.

The climb was so steep and the snow so deep, that I was sliding back at least as far as each step took me. I slipped at one point, and self-arrested with my walking stick to keep from sliding a few hundred feet down the mountainside. I was obviously too under-equipped to even make it the last 100 feet to the pass.

Lightweight Backpacking

Hiking downhill was worse, as it often is. I hit my shins against rocks hidden in the snow. I could walk on top of the snow crust at times, at least until I suddenly broke through – which I did when I stopped to look at some bobcat tracks. He had no problem walking on top of the snow. I was happy that I didn’t have much weight in my backpack.

I was carrying 11 pounds, to be exact. The backpack weighed a pound or so, my down sleeping bag weighed 17 ounces, and the tarp was 16 ounces or so. Food, water, a camera and dry socks added a few more pounds. I hardly even noticed the pack – even after 13 miles of hiking.

Once I was back down near the lakes it was time to put my lightweight hiking and backpacking skills and equipment to the test. The temperature would drop to about 24 degrees Fahrenheit overnight.

There was grassy area where the snow had mostly melted. The sun was still warm, so I laid out my wet socks and shoes to dry on a large log. I ate some mixed nuts, wrote some notes, and then took a nap. When several deer walked by an hour later, I woke up gripping my walking stick like a weapon.

My shoes and socks were dry, so I got busy setting up camp. 20 minutes of collecting dry grass and old thistle stalks gave me a thick mattress. It was for comfort, but also insulation to keep me warm and dry. My plastic groundsheet went over this, and I strung the tarp over it all. I laid out my sleeping bag to let it fluff up before night.

I laid a fire, just in case I needed it later (I didn’t). I used a few pieces of bark to keep frost, snow or rain off of it, and then I ate some wild currants and rose hips, saving my corn chips for a bedtime meal. The fat from the corn chips would heat me up as it digested. Using my walking stick to lift it, I hung the bag with the rest of the food on a high branch where it would be safe from bears.

I took out my thermal underwear, hat and gloves and put them. It was almost dark. My shoes with the backpack on top of them worked as a pillow. When the wind started blowing, I lowered one side of the tarp. I was soon asleep.

The frost was heavy on the tarp in the morning, and the ice was thick on the puddles in the trail, but I had managed to sleep well enough. After packing up, I scattered the mattress materials so they wouldn’t smother the plants underneath, and I ate some crackers for breakfast. The sun was just coming up as I hit the trail and started down the mountain.

By now I had probably 9 pounds total on my back. This may be very lightweight for backpacking, but I had everything I needed, including a camera. I stopped hiking long enough to take a photo of Crestone Needle, shining in the morning sun. I will be on top of it this coming summer.

Moschino – Simple and Unique Perfumes

What do Uma Thurman, Natalie Imbruglia, Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman have in common? All of these beautiful ladies are fond of wearing signature clothing designs from the fashion house Moschino. Founded by the Italian fashion designer Franco Moschino in 1983, the company was an expanded fashion and accessories center that has several brands of clothes, accessories and fragrances.

Clothing designed and distributed by this fashion house has distinct characteristics of being unique, sexy, classical and whimsical all at the same time. Fashion experts note that Moschino garments are always dashing with practical humor, though there is much sense and aesthetic appeal to them.

For instance, the Milan-based fashion house was responsible for the clothing worn by performers in the Winter Olympics of 2006 in Torino, Italy. In the said occasion, performers were clad in outfits that were inspired and designed after the mountains of Turin.

In 2005, one of Kylie Minogue’s most talked about concert tour called ‘Showgirl’ was supported and dressed by Moschino. The greatest hits tour of Kylie Minogue was turned into an impressive show of distinct, yet unique and highly fashionable clothes designed exclusively by Moschino.

Knowing the man behind the label would help further understand the drive behind the company. Franco Moschino (deceased) was born in 1950 in Milan, Italy. He started his fashion career as a neophyte fashion sketcher for the popular clothing firm Giorgio Armani. Known for his disrespect for conventional fashion, Mr. Moschino strived to come out with designs that defy the normal, and as so, was able to establish a niche in the fashion world of his own.

In 1987, the company launched its own fragrance line for women. The following year, the company introduced its diffusion line; it initially called Cheap & Chic. Since then, Moschino perfumes became to the fragrance sector what the brand is to the clothing industry. Moschino perfumes simply stood out to be unique and distinct from the rest of the perfumes on the market. Its simplicity and uniqueness was defiant of the usual. Indeed, that was a Moschino trademark.

Proof of its uniqueness was a running joke when malaria spread like epidemic in Italy in the 1990s and early 2000s. The joke said that spraying Moschino perfumes was a sure way of repelling the deadly and nasty mosquitoes that spread the disease. The expensive perfume did not react to the joke, but it was said that such humor helped Moschino perfumes further find and mark its own perfume niche.

To date, Moschino perfumes are one of the most expensive and most sought-after. The fragrances are being distributed globally. Though there are just a limited number of retailers and shops selling the perfumes, consumers could easily order a bottle or bottles of their favorite Moschino fragrances through online shopping stores.

If you are defiant of the usual and you aim to establish your own image using scents, it is time you get a bottle of your own Moschino perfume. The tag prices are normally expensive, but for sure, you will acknowledge that it really pays to stand out and be different.

Mix and Match Your John Deere Cowboy Boots

John Deere boots are one of the most recognized cowboy boots in the United States . These boots have become synonymous to quality ever since the first boot rolled out in 1837. The firm that makes these boots, Dan Post Boot Company, makes sure that this legacy continues; to do so, they use only the finest materials, the newest techniques, and the strictest quality tests.

The company offers a large variety of boots-premium leather boots, safety and non-safety toe boots, waterproof boots, and others. The reliability and durability of these John Deere make them popular choices as work boots. Indeed, ranchers wear them when they wash their horses, plow their fields, clean their barns, or do any other farm work.

Aside from the usual cowboy boots, the company also offers product lines that are specific for heavy or dangerous industries such as logging or mining.

If you own a pair of John Deere boots , you should realize that you have one of the best boots in the country. To get the most of your boot, you have to wear them proudly, and you have to know the so-called rules to maximize their unique look.

Mixing Footwear and Clothing

1) Skirts – Boots from John Deere are perfect matches for skirts. Be it miniskirts, knee-length skirts, long skirts, skirts that flow-these boots can compliment them all!

2) Long dresses – Just like skirts, long dresses can be paired with these boots. In fact, a popular star, Jessica Simpson, even wore a pastel-colored calf-length dress with brown cowboy boots! Although it works well for her, it is usually better to pair the boots with darker-colored dresses.

3) Jeans – Denim jeans were originally made for cowboys, the tough, durable cloth being able to suit their needs. Since boots are also associated with cowboys, then jeans and cowboy boots match really well.

These boots can be worn with shafts tucked into the jeans. Some people, so that the entirety of the boots can be seen, tuck the bottom of the jeans into the boot. Boots from John Deere can go very well together with blue jeans, be it light washed or dark. Depending on the style and color of the boots you have, they may or may not match jeans that are black or any other color.

4) Shorts – Short jean shorts can match up very nicely with John Deere long-shaft cowboy boots. Women with these get-up usually look very sexy and provocative.

5) Work clothes – Do not wear these boots with your work clothes unless if you are a rancher. It is very unprofessional to look if you are wearing a doctor’s white coat or a three-piece suit.

6) Fitting shirts and tight jeans – Pairing these with these cowboy boots are a no-no unless if you want to look like Howdy-Doody. Loose-fit jeans and shirts are better.

7) Tuxedos – Surprisingly, many men think that it is cool to wear and show their John Deere boots together with their tuxedos on special occasions. No way. The dress calls for very formal footwear, and these boots, no matter how good they look, are just inappropriate and disrespectful.

The right clothes can compliment your boots and vice versa. For more tips and information about John Deere Boots, check out http://www.rockytopleather.com.

Liv Tyler’s Cocktail Dresses

Though it is hard to live in the shadow of her rock star father, Liv Tyler has actually been able to achieve and prove a lot on just being her own self. Starting off as a model, she later pursued a career in acting, as she was seen in movies like Armageddon and That Thing You Do. Her fashion has always been eclectic. But in an interview, she revealed that she was more into wearing cocktail dresses.

In the last few years, cocktail dresses have been getting quite interesting. From their fun colors to their girlish frills, they are sure to look good with almost any figure. Here are a couple of tips that Liv Tyler swears by as she struts on the red carpet wearing cocktail dresses.

1. Halter tops

One of Liv Tyler’s favorite cocktail dresses would be halter tops. Halter tops are best for women with narrow shoulders and flat chests. It makes your shoulders look broader and makes your neck look more swan like.

2. Asymmetrical hemlines

This is best for tall women with thin legs just like Liv Tyler, since the diagonal lines crossing your thighs tend to make them look larger. Avoid severe jags, but choose the ones where the top and bottom of the jag are less than three inches apart. Otherwise, the jag will make your legs appear shorter.

3. Flowing skirts

These are fun dresses, but not for small women, because they can make you look like a ten-year-old. If you have the height for them, have fun with the flowing fabrics, and choose prints rather than solid colors to avoid looking like an ice skater.

4. Belts

Liv Tyler loves adding belts to her cocktail dresses as they are easy ways to add great detail to an otherwise overly simple dress. If you have a small upper body, try empire waist belts. For small-waisted women, waist level belts will emphasize one of your best assets. Remember, though, that belts cut your body in half, so it could break an elegant line. You can avoid this by choosing belts in hues close to the color of your dress.

Choosing Jewlery

People have enjoyed jewelry throughout history. It has been given as gifts and as a symbol of relationships. It is not only a beautiful accessory, it helps identify a person. Jewelry can be a very expensive investment so making a wise decision on your jewelry purchase is important to make sure the jewelry is of a good quality and (most importantly) that the recipient is happy.

How to select diamonds

When you’re selecting diamonds there are four things that diamonds are measured on. These are called the 4 C’s of diamonds:

Cut. This refers to the shape of the diamond, which will determine how much it sparkles when the light hits it.
Carat. This is how big the diamond is.
Clarity. This measures how clear the diamond is. That is, if it has flaws (called inclusions) or not.
Color. This is the measurement of how white or yellow a diamond is.

Caring for your jewelry

Taking care of your jewelry is just as important as the decisions you made when you went to purchase it. For example, be sure to keep it clean as dirt will gouge the jewelry. Clean it very carefully with a soft cloth, or get it professionally cleaned at a jewelry store. Having clean jewelry is very important for its longevity but also, since jewelry is often worn on some of the most sensitive parts of the body, dirty jewelry can cause irritation.

Keeping your jewelry safe

Store your jewelry in a safe place. For example, you may want to buy a safe, or utilize a hidden safe which looks like a household product (like a soda can or a jar of cleaner) but has a secret compartment which thieves might not be likely to look in. Or, if you are jewelry is highly valued, you may want to even keep it in a security box at a bank.

Jewelry is an important investment in style and in your relationship! Buying jewelry wisely and keeping it clean and well maintained will help it hold its beauty and value for your lifetime and allow it to be a legacy to your children.

Jeff Lakie is the founder of Jewlery Resources a website providing information on Jewlery
